When a fire, flood, or building repair puts you out of your home, you need somewhere that feels like one. Furnished houses and condos, for as long as the repair takes.
Insurance displacement housing
Households displaced by fire, flood, or a building repair are among the people we house most, often for months, while their insurer covers temporary housing. It happens in every neighbourhood, so our homes are spread across Metro Vancouver.
A hotel works for a week. For a claim that runs months, a family needs a kitchen, laundry, a bedroom per person, and ideally the same school run. That is what the homes below are.

Most claims run months, which puts them in the 90-day category.
Stays of 90 consecutive days or more are outside BC’s provincial short-term rental definition, but local licensing, strata and tenancy requirements can still apply.
For a shorter insurance stay, check the property’s eligibility, applicable exemptions, licences and registration. The agreement and included services should be confirmed before the stay starts.
